Derby Day - **The day race fans look forward to the most. Get ready for the Melbourne Cup, as this is the start of the party. And enthusiasts will be vamping up for Race Four of the event - **the Group One Victorian Derby.
The Big Names...
Whobegotyou ($1.70)
The Caulfield Guineas winner has been heavily backed to tear up the turf and claim another big-named title to his 2008 campaign. He was in great form last week, taking the AAMI Vase at Mooney Valley against a few of the same horses he's facing this week.
Pre Eminence ($7.50)
This Colt has had an up-and-down season in 2008, with as many scratchings as wins in his last ten runs. Yet he had a great run at the AAMI Norman Robinson Stakes two weeks ago, and many think he'll be more than just a challenge on race day.
Buffett ($13.00)
Though this gelding ran a second to Whobegotyou last week, with Damien Oliver at the reigns, you can't ignore his chances. He's been raced sparingly as of late, and the rest could be just what this runner needs with $1,510,000 up for grabs for the winner.
