Friday nights Battle of the Big Guns.

Its the battle of the big guns at the top of the NRL ladder as the Broncos go up against the Bulldogs at Suncorp Stadium 7:35pm

The Swine Flu nearly got the better of the Broncos this week but the players were determined to play… Up until late Thursday no-one was sure what was going to happen: Will they play, won’t they play.

The top of the table clash is on and both teams will be ready to fire. The Bulldogs have had an unchanged approach this week, whereas the Broncos have had a heavily disrupted week, only training on the morning of the match (Friday 12th).

Bulldogs star Ben Hannant will be out to impress against his old team mates as will Stagg and Eastwood. Michael Ennis will be doing the same however thinking of Origin as well.

The Bulldogs have been on fire this year and if it wasn’t for a couple of dubious decisions they would be further ahead. They have played controlled footy and have used the new recruits to the best of their ability, they have been playing as a unit and it shows in their position on the ladder.

Broncos have had a disastrous week, the whole squad including the U20’s has been in quarantine, they haven’t trained and until late yesterday were not playing. That is until the players got involved and stated that they wanted the game to go ahead. The Broncos have not only missed training this week but as a team they have not been together for three weeks – Origin commitments.

Broncos suffered at the hands of Melbourne last week crashing out 48 – 4, a week of reflection and rest might be just what the doctor ordered.

The Broncos and the Bulldogs have not lost back to back games this year… Will the Broncos be the first or the Bulldogs, will the disruption from the past week have an impact on the Broncos?
