How do we even begin to talk about the sporting events taking place this weekend, there is an abundance of matches, battles and points to please any sports’ tragic and Centrebet has got you covered for all of it!
Let’s start with the NRL, definitely the round of the season (thus far). Firstly you’ve got the Sydney clash of the most improved – Wests Tigers versus Parramatta Eels. This game has been talked about as the game of the year and considering the form of the two sides over the past month it should be an absolute cracker! Jarryd Hayne is playing as if the NRL is standing around watching; he has amazing natural ability and like the greats can turn a game into a one-man show with devastating effect for his opponents. Wests Tigers have firepower and more than enough talent in Benji Marshall and Robbie Farah to rip through any side on their given day. That’s what it will come down to who wants it more, who can play up to expectation and who will handle the pressure… It is sure to be a display of fireworks between these two flamboyant sides as they push for a spot in the finals.
Although pricing wouldn’t indicate, the Broncos versus Dragons will be another game for the viewer’s pleasure. The Saints have been well, “Saintly” in their approach to this years NRL season. They have displayed great discipline and teamwork, combine that with Bennett at the helm, sensational Jamie Soward and “Big Dell” and you have a very sound recipe for success. The Broncos have their own success to fall back on. They are, and have been a quality side with quality players that can deliver from all angles of the park. Broncos have the experience and knowledge to grind out the points at WIN Stadium. Who will want it more? The Broncos desperately need the win to stay in the finals race and the Dragons will be looking to all but fortify their top spot.
We can move on to the other form of the oval ball now and focus on the Bledisloe. Australia really needs to pull something out the bag here. Whether or not they are preparing for the World Cup they need a win. The wait for a win against a solid rugby side has been too long. It must end. Australia is favourites going in to the clash at ANZ stadium where the All-Blacks will be looking to pressure Australia’s young fullback James O’Connor. The All-Blacks will also be bolstered by the return of Rugby Shining Knight – Dan Carter who will add some deadly movement to the All-Blacks line; will Australia handle Carter and record their first win of the Tri-Nations and Bledisloe? Or will the All-Blacks be ready to run rampant on Aussie soil?
The Round Ball is in motion once again… All the big European Leagues are starting back up: Seri A and La Liga and we have already been blessed with the start of the English Premier League. It’s too early to draw any realistic conclusions however it would seem that Manchester United without Ronaldo will struggle more than they believed. You cannot just replace 30+ goals season a year. Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham look strong early as do big money spenders Manchester City. There is an amazing variety of betting markets and selections available for football around the world – Including next years 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Plus don’t miss out on Round 21 of the AFL, heading into finals time. The IAAF World Championship Athletics and most Importantly the 5th and Final Ashes Test at the Oval in England – where Australia needs only a draw to retain the cherished little urn.
