Evans said that option had been the only firmer after a string of bets, with all other options – including 50bp rise/Cummings and either rate increase into a Lloyd Williams-owned winner have all drifted out! “There’s still economic speculation the more savage 0.50 per cent increase is still on the radar, but punters are only interested in the 25bp rise at $1.45, especially after the release of today’s CPI figure. More so, they’ve decided Bart can win another Melbourne Cup and have steamed into the historic $5.50 double, virtually to the exclusion of all other options! There has been some betting interest on the rate staying the same, but it remains at its opening price of $6.00!
“Certainly, punters are loving this novel new first Tuesday in November market, with actual bet numbers approaching 200,” he added!
Punters can now get $10.00 and $16.00 about either fancied rate increase into Alcopop – the rising star from South Australia who has stormed to the top of Cup betting!
