MILITARY SET TO MARCH PUNTERS IN FOR MAGIC MILLIONS 2010!

* In what looms as one of the toughest feature cards for punters on the Australian racing calendar, unbeaten local filly Military Rose continues to be sensationally backed on Centrebet to win tomorrow's 2YO Magic Millions Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast
Centrebet media chief and analyst Neil Evans said scores of 'smart' wagers have come for Military Rose in the last 36 hours, with her fixed price firming dramatically from $7.00 into $5.00. Meanwhile, Sydney filly and early favourite Ambers Waltz continues to drift from an opening $3.80 out to $4.50 after drawing wide, and is under seige in the betting! "This is a super hard race where luck is massive, yet the concerted move for Military Rose is very significant, and of course, she's prepared by Gillian Heinrich who knows ever blade of grass on the Gold Coast track," Evans said. "There's been a series of bets from $750.00 up to $2,500.00 from $7.00 down, with one punter unloading $2,000.00 at $6.50. From the good four alley, I think Military Rose will ultimately start favourite."
Evans said fellow local hope Spirit of Boom had taken solid money, and was a rock-solid third favourite at $6.00, while the Barry Baldwin-trained Demanding Miss ($12.00 into $10.00) and the lightly-raced David Hayes galloper Red Belly Black ($15.00 into $13.00) had both been well specked. The Waterhouse runner Brightexpectations has held his quote at $12.00. "Most other runners in the race have been easy in the betting in what is an intruging and tough affair, but Military Rose is clearly the 'money horse'," he added.
Meanwhile, the John Wallace-trained Shootout - who ran the in-form Graceful Anna to a short head on Boxing Day - is easily the best backed runner on Centrebet to win the 3YO Magic Millions Trophy (1400m) having firmed from $6.00 in to $4.75 in the last 48 hours, and closing in on the Hawkes' race favourite Love Conquers All ($4.65 into $4.50)!
"Nearly all the biggish bets are on Shootout, and if he runs up to his effort behind Graceful Anna in the Vo Rogue Plate he'll be right in the finish," Evans said. "Love Conquers All, though, is rock-solid in a very tough race, but if Deer Valley gets the luck from a middle gate surely he's the real value at $7.00," he said.
Flying Sydney filly Graceful Anna has eased from $5.50 out to $6.00, while Choistar has been well supported from $12.00 into $10.00, and smart Melbourne visitor Doubtful Jack is $17.00 into $13.00!
In other sustained betting moves on Centrebet, the Brian Guy-trained Fab Fevola - first-up for five months - has been heavily backed from $6.50 into $5.00 to win the DJ Magic Millions Sprint (1000m) after destroying his rivals in a recent Gold Coast trial. Albert The Fat remains the $3.50 favourite on Centrebet. And the Robert Heathcote-trained Gundy Son has firmed from $5.00 into $4.50 favourite to win the Sky Racing Magic Millions Plate (1200m)!
