Top seed and $1.58 tournament favourite Serena Williams has firmed from $1.17 into $1.15 on Centrebet to beat Na Li in today’s semi-final after a rush of nearly $35,000.00 in bets, including $15,000.00, $10,000.00 and $4,700.00 – all at the opening quote of $1.17! Na Li has blown from $5.00 out to $5.40 and is unwanted by punters.

A different story, though, in the second semi-final where plenty of punters have taken the big $4.50 price about Jie Zheng upsetting Justine Henin ($1.20)!

“The money here is actually favouring Zheng about 55-45 split, so there’s a feeling among punters they should be a lot closer together in the market,” Centrebet’s Neil Evans said. “Henin remains a much more attractive proposition in tournament betting where she remains an attractive $2.85 second favourite behind Williams. She’s been well fancied all the way down from $7.50, and is arguably better prepared for a final than Serena!”

Meanwhile, Marin Cilic remains a long $4.85 outsider against British number one Andy Murray ($1.18) ahead of tonight’s first men’s semi-final, with the money down the middle so far!

Top seed Roger Federer is even shorter at $1.16 to win his semi-final against flamboyuant Frenchman Jo Wilfried Tsonga ($5.25)! Federer is $1.77 in tournament betting ahead of Murray ($2.35) with Tsonga at $17.00 and Cilic ($19.00)!
