A lot of hype has surrounded the Kangaroos and for good reason. They are running out with only one key man sidelined through injury. A great playmaker and visionary of the game Jonathon Thurston will be missed however his replacement in Cooper Cronk could not be going any better and with the form that the Storm is in and his fellow teammates taking part it surely was an easier decision that most would have expected.
On the other side of the ball park the Kiwis are missing some key players in Roy Asotasi, Frank Pritchard and Fuifui Moimoi. This will be a great loss to the Kiwis as they trial new half in Kieran Foran. Foran will step up, he’s showed in the last few weeks that his a genuine first-grader and doesn’t mind taking a hit or coping one, but the question remains how will the loss of muscle in the forwards and experience in the hales cost the Kiwis?
Australia are short favourites for this clash ($1.14) and rightfully so. For added value the line is set at 16.5 +/- at $1.91!

Who takes out the league/s?
It has come down to the final days as it often does in the European football leagues, will it be Manchester united or Chelsea for the Premier League honours, will it be Real Madrid or Barcelona for the La Liga honours?
There is only one round left in the EPL and it is all but sewn up with Chelsea needing a win at home against Wigan to seal the deal, meanwhile across town Manchester United will need a win against Stoke and hope that Chelsea drop points to Wigan. The bookies can’t see Chelsea slipping up and have firmed from $1.07 to $1.05 to take out the 2009/2010 EPL Title. Carlo Ancelotti has done a masterful job since joining the Blues and has one last hurdle to climb before lifting his first trophy as Blues manager.
In the Spanish La Liga it couldn’t be a tenser situation. The Two powerhouse clubs Real Madrdi and Barcelona sit 2nd and 1st with one point separting them with two games to go. Barcelona are favourites to take out the La Liga however a tricky game this weekend away at Sevilla could be the tell tale for the final week. Barcelona are $1.48 favourites to take out the tie. Meanwhile Madrid is at very short odds of $1.10 to get past Athletic at the Bernabeu’. This is a must win game for Madrid if they are to keep their title hopes alive. Both clubs are known to dominate football on a global scale but so far have had no luck, both being knocked out of the Champions League, where the final is to be held in Madrid! Cristiano Ronaldo just slotted his first hat-trick for Real over the weekend and will be looking to continue with goals against Athletic. Barcelona’s Messi has been nothing short of magical terrorising defences with his movement, vision and left-foot finishing.
Has Chelsea and Barcelona done enough or is there going to be fireworks in the streets of Manchester and Madrid.
