STILL THEY LINE UP TO CASH IN ON “BETTER THAN BANK” INTEREST COALITION LANDSLIDE!
One of Centrebet’s biggest elections clients has today taken the ‘over-the-line’ price of just $1.02 about the Coalition winning the NSW election, wagering $32,000.00 to win $640.00!
“We have got nearly $1,000.00 in small bets on Labor at the massive $13.00, but there’s no serious interest, and punters are seemingly just rubber-stamping a change of government by the minute,” Centrebet media chief and analyst Neil Evans said.
The Coalition holds 92 per cent of all monies bet into the NSW State election books.
Meanwhile, a regular and smart election client has re-opened the controversial battle for the inner Sydney seat of Balmain, betting $600.00 on Liberal candidate James Falk, bringing him in from a whopping $17.00 to $6.00! “This is a spanner in the works move,” Evans said. “The Greens’ Jamie Parker had been heavily backed from $1.24 into $1.16, but has now eased to $1.20, but still overwhelming favourite. One thing’s clear, sitting MP and Education Minister Verity Firth is gone for all money, having eased from an opening $3.70 out to $5.00.”
The Liberals look to have taken the seat of Blue Mountains from the ALP after several thousand in bets arrived in the last 24 hours for Roza Sage, shortening her from $1.18 into an even hotter $1.13 favourite. Evans said both Independent Janet May and Labor’s Trish Doyle were “friendless” in betting.
The Liberals’ Bruce Notley-Smith has been one the most heavily backed candidates in NSW, toppling in from $1.18 into just $1.03 to claim the eastern Sydney seat of Coogee. Evans said a sharp Sydney punter had wagered $2,500.00 on Notley-Smith at $1.18 before a “well-connected” political client surged in with $3,500.00 at $1.12! “Money for jam, according to big punters!”
And just when the Liberals’ John Sidoti looked “over the line” in Drummoyne, a punter right in the heart of the electorate has unleashed $2,100.00 on Labor’s Angela Tsirekas at $4.80. “He may come back for more because Ms Tsirekas is now priced at $5.40 to hold the seat for Labor, while Mr Sidoti has always been heavily fancied, firming from an opening price of $1.50 into a hot $1.12! “After an early punter got on for $5,000.00 at $1.33, in the last 24 hours we have seen bets of $1,000.00 and $500.00 at $1.18 and another wager of $1,000.00 at $1.13,” Evans said.
Yesterday, more money came for the Liberals’ Chris Holstein to claim the seat of Gosford, including bets of $2,500.00 at $1.13 and $2,000.00 at $1.08! Holstein is now a red-hot $1.05 on Centrebet, with Labor’s Katie Smith “without a penny” and blowing to $8.00.
