JIMMY CHOUX Hailing from NZ, Jimmy Choux has won 4 races out of 5 this year – unfortunately the only race he didn’t place in was his last start. Hasn’t raced since April, but has a good record first up which will hold him in good stead. Currently second favourite and can cope over the distance.

LION TAMER Lion Tamer was unplaced last start at Caulfield, but had a ripper ride before that at the same track. Has won over the distance, so that shouldn’t be a problem, it’ll be more whether he can match it with the top competition that will be on show.

REKINDLED INTEREST Another horse that has been in good form this spring, but lost last start. Having finished unplaced in the Turnbull over 2000 metres, it’s a question whether the distance will suit. Has the pedigree.

This Cox Plate field is one of the most open in years, with a lot of runners opting for this race as opposed to the Caulfield Cup. At the end of the day, your guess is as good as ours, so close your eyes, point your finger and put your hard earned betting money on whoever it lands on.
