Sports Gambling Options With Centrebet

17th June 2008, by Taylor Luk

Centrebet offers many sports gambling options, on a range of sporting events. We've put together some explanations and examples of the different betting terminologies. Remember, the biggest difference between betting types is how you pick the winner and what your payout will be.

All Centrebet online sports betting, is on a fixed-odds basis so that both you and Centrebet know the exact details of the bet - and the win amount - once the bet is accepted. All odds/prices/markets are quoted as a decimal dividend for a one-unit outlay.

Sports Gambling - Single Bets

Centrebet accepts single bets on all events on which markets are framed.

Example: 2.45 means a dividend of 2.45 (i.e. a profit of 1.45 on each one unit bet).
In head-to-head events, Centrebet may offer line and points dividends in addition to a straight-up win dividend. In both points and line bets, each team is handicapped - plus or minus a number of points.
Centrebet offers a number of betting options including choices like pick the score, halftime/fulltime doubles, handicaps, win competitions, first scorer and so on.

Sports Gambling - Multi Bets

Also known as parlay, all-up, accumulator and multi-bets, multiple bets involve picking the winners of more than one event. Up to 12 events can be taken in one bet, with your betting money being multiplied by the individual dividend of each selected competition. All selected competitors must win - otherwise the bet is lost.

Multiple betting is available on most events and betting options can include a mixture of win and other options. The final dividend is calculated by multiplying the dividend of all individual legs of the bet.

Multiple bets are not accepted where the outcome of one part of the bet contributes to the outcome of another, also known as competitor dependency. If such bets are inadvertently accepted, Centrebet reserves the right to declare them void.

The maximum dividend (for one unit) permitted on any multiple bet is 2,501 units and the maximum number of selections within one multiple is limited to 12.

In the case of more than one competitor being declared the winner of a selected event, the dividend will be adjusted accordingly. For example, in a dead heat for first, the dividend would be divided by two. In a triple dead heat, the dividend would be divided by three - and so on.

Boxed Multis

This is another betting type which allows the client to take all outcomes of a multi bet. For example, in a 3 leg multi, there are 6 bets: 3 single outcomes, 2 doubles and 1 treble.
